The Inspiration

We both have grandmothers with the name Betty. It's humbling to think of them both. They remind us of where we came from, how far we have come, and how much more we can become. From them we learned the mystery of life;

The Misson

Put a Betty Bowl in the hands of every mother. Ambitious? Of course. Possible? Absolutely.

The Business

Betty bought a bunch of bowls. Betty bought a bunch of paint. Betty makes a little money. Betty gives a bunch away.

The Artist

Betty created the first Betty Bowl as a "thank you for hosting me and my four wild boys in your house for an overnight" gift for an incredible person we call Aunt Anne. Betty didn't tell me she was making this thing. She just made it, brought it along and showed me in the car. When I first saw the bowl I was floored. I had never seen her create a single piece of art in the 20 years I had known her. The bowl was cute. The bowl was cool. The bowl was one of a kind. Instantly, it became an heirloom. Betty made another bowl for my mom. The second Betty Bowl instantly became an heirloom. My mom loved it. Her friends raved about it. Betty made and gave away a few more bowls to some special people and the goose bumps and smiles continued. Betty loves making them. People love giving them. People love receiving them. That's when you know something special is going on.

The Person

Betty is a mother, daughter, daughter-in-law, grand daughter, grand daughter-in law, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, niece, cousin, cousin-in-law, friend, best friend and wife. Between bowls, Betty loves spending time with her 4 boys (ages 6, 4.5, 4.5 and 39), her dogs, Lucy and Stout, and her close friends and family.
